Andhra style garlic palak pappu/ Spinach Dhal
This is one easy peasy recipe that you will love to add it your cookbooks. I love all kind of Andhra style pappu. Instead of making sambar every time it is also nice to show varieties with the dhals. Let's jump into the recipe.

Serving Size : 2-3 People
Ingredients:
1. Toor Dhal - 3/4 cup
2. Onion - 1/2 cup
3. Tomato - 1/2 of 1 medium sized tomato
4. Garlic - 4 Sliced
5. Spinach - 1 bunch
6. Green Chilly -1
7. Chilly powder - 1 tsp (as needed)
8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Seasoning:
1. Mustard - 1 tsp
2. Hing - 1 tsp
3. Red Chilly - 1
4. Jeera/Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
5. Red Chilly - 1
6 . Oil - 1 Tbsp
7. Curry leaves - as needed
Steps :
1. In a pressure cooker, add washed toor dal, turmeric powder, hing, salt and oil. Cook it for 3-4 whistles.
2. Now add onion,tomato, 2 garlic, spinach, green chilly and chilly powder to the dhal. Again pressure cook for 1 whistle.
3. Last step is tadka, heat oil, fry garlic then add mustard, jeera, hing, red chilly, curry leaves.
4. Add it to the dhal. Serve hot with rice.
