2. Finely Chopped Onions - 1 Cup
3. Medium sized Tomato - 1
4. Green Chilly - 4 (Adjust based on your spice level, we are going to add it again in grinding as well)
5. Chilly Powder - 1 Tsp (Adjust accordingly)
6. Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
7. Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
8. Crushed Pepper - 1 Tsp
9. Curd - 1 Tbsp
10. Oil - 2 Tbsp
11. Curry Leaves - 1 String
12. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
13. Salt - As needed

For Grinding:

1. Coriander leaves - handful
2. Mint - 10 leaves
3. Onion Shallots - 4-5
4. Cashews - 10 m
5. Green Chilly - 2-3 (adjust based on your spice level)
6. Ginger - 1 piece
7. Garlic - 3-4

Steps:

1. In a pan/kadai heat 1 tbsp of oil and add all the ingredients mentioned under grinding one by one. Saute it for 2-3 minutes and once it cools down grind it to a fine paste.

2. Marinate the chicken in curd and salt for 30 minutes.

3. In a pan/kadai heat a tbsp of oil, add a tsp of cumin seeds and generous amount of  curry leaves.

4. Once it's started to sputter, add the onions and slitted green chillies. Cook until onions become translucent.

5. Add the ground paste mix and cook for a minute or two.

6. Add the tomatoes. Cover and cook the tomatoes so that it will get mushy in few minutes.

7. Now add the chicken and all the masala powders (Chilly, Coriander and Garam masala).

8. Give it a nice mix and add 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook. Chicken will start oozing water by itself and should get cooked in 20 minutes. If you are using country chicken it will take little longer so in that case you can pressure cook for 1 whistle.

9.  Finally add crushed pepper and keep the flame in low for 5 minutes.

Ready to serve with Rice/ Roti
